Field trip to Smateria and Blue Pumpkin

A couple of days ago my class went to a place called Smateria. The owner of the shop, Jennifer told us the process of how her products are made and how they market them. We saw the tailors making bags out of fishing nets. We then went to see the school that was on the top floor. We then went to a restaurant called Blue Pumpkin. There we met the owners of the shop Eloi and Anne. To go into the kitchen, we had to wear hair nets so our hair would not fall in the food. There they showed us the process of their food. We then had a go at making croissants. They then showed us how they price their croissants. We finally got to eat a croissant. I am still wondering how many problems they face. I now understand that you should not create a business with your friends. The most interesting thing for me was learning about how they price their products.
