Three passages from treasure island

Treasure island

We had to take three passages from a book, one was a sizzling sentence another was we had to write a descriptive sentence and an action sentence. The book I chose was treasure island.

Sizzling starter:
“...for from these dozen words I understood that the lives of all the honest men aboard depended upon me alone.”

Descriptive sentence:
A tall, heavy, nut brown man; his tarry pigtail falling over the shoulders of his soiled blue coat, his ragged and scarred, with black broken nails and the saber cut across one cheek, a dirty livid white.

Action sentence:
The doctor gray and I ran full speed for shelter. The survivors would soon be back where they left they muskets, and at any moment the fire might recommence.
