Water Treatment Plant
We went to the water treatment plant for a field trip. . . . .
Our tour guide was Mr. Heng
The whole purpose for going there was to see how the water was cleaned. There were pools to keep the water. There were rocks, sand and cement to filter the water. There were gates to stop the water. There were turbines to mix the water. They put chemicals to kill the bacteria. They got the water from the tonle sap river.
At the water treatment plant the water changes from the beginning to end, at the beginning of the process it is brown and at the end of the process it is clear. In the process sludge drops to the ground that means it is getting filtered. The river water changes and it becomes drinking water.
If we drink the river water right away we will get sick and if we drink too much we could possibly die, we would be drinking sewer water. When you go pee or poop the pee or the poo goes directly to the river, so if you wipe your butt with toilet paper you are basicly polluting the river.
